Autmn 1 Week 6

In Maths this week, we have been looking at geometry. The children have explored different triangles and their properties. They have identified quadrilaterals and how to draw and classify them. The children have enjoyed using mirrors to investigate lines of symmetry on regular and irregular shapes. 

During this week in English, the children continue working on a narrative. We have drawn and described our main characters and thought about where our narrative will be set. 

For Topic this week we have been learning about Coppergate and how significant it is for learning about Vikings. The children did some research about what was found at this important dig site. 

In Spanish we have continued the topic ‘Me Presento’. The children have learnt how to ask each other how old they are and how to respond. 

For Black History Month, we have been learning about Tina Turner and how the ‘Queen of Rock n Roll’ had an impact on music today.
