Personal Development Introduction

At Reigate Park Primary Academy, we pride ourselves on a whole school approach to all children developing social awareness, strength of character, acceptance of others and academic confidence. 

This is a fundamental part of our ethos, as we aim to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical developments of our pupils in order to prepare them for secondary school and adulthood.

Our Harmony Pledge and Character Competencies are a vital part of this development, which children follow through their time with us from Reception to Year 6.

Personal Development is not explicitly taught – it is woven throughout all that we do at Reigate Park Primary.

Through all lessons, assemblies and our numerous clubs and activities that our children experience, they are developing the skills they will need for the wider world.

We aim for all children to have a strong sense of purpose, self-identity, belonging and resilience, so that they have the confidence for their voices to be heard and their ambitions achieved.
