Starfish Autumn 1, Week 3

This week in Maths, we have been learning how to add using our tens and ones. We have also learnt how to add using a 100 square, incase we ever need another method to help us! Abigail and Thomas completed all the tasks that were set and even made it on to a challenge! 

In English, we have started to write our own version of the 'Magic Paintbrush' story. Joel had some wonderful ideas and included a wide range of adjectives in his sentences. Henry enjoyed sounding out exciting words to use in his writing and was able to independently edit his sentences. 

In topic this week, we have been learning all baout Chrisopher Columbus. We discussed why he was significant and learnt many different facts about him. Hunter was able to tell the class that Christopher Columbus found the Americas, well done Hunter!
