Autumn 1 Week 5
Date: 11th Oct 2024 @ 4:11pm
In Maths this week, we have started multiplying numbers by 0, 1, 10 and 100. We have been working on developing our answers for reasoning questers and using Maths sentence starter such as ‘The answer is incorrect because…’ ‘I think that…..’
During this week in English, the children started looking at a narrative. They found out that they would be writing a narrative to entertain our Reading Buddies. The children have started looking at features that might be including in their narrative. We have been using prepositional phrases to add more detail.
For Topic this week we have been learning about the Vikings. We have compared them to the Anglo-Saxons in terms of jobs, hierarchies, and family life. We also had a debate about if the Anglo-Saxons should have fought or surrendered.
In Computing this week we have been looking at Privacy and Security. We have learnt how websites use our information and how to keep ourselves and our data safe online.
We have really enjoyed Forest School recently. We have been making art using the things around us and learning how to tie ‘granny’ knots and make journey sticks.
