English

In English this week, the children have been reading the story ‘Stone Age Boy’, in preparation for writing their own time travel narratives. They have been picking out new vocabulary from the text and using dictionaries to find the meanings of the words. We have also been learning about past tense verbs and how spellings of verbs can change because of the tense they are written in.

Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been learning a new skill in multiplication and division. They have been using the grid method in order to solve more complex questions.

Topic

In Topic this week, we have been learning more about the Bronze Age. We have been comparing the similarities and differences between life in the Stone Age and the Bronze Age. The children have been learning about significant people during the Bronze Age period.

Star of the week – Ava-Rose (Ava-Rose has been working super hard in Maths).

Writer of the week - Aleksandra (Aleksandra has been working really hard on her handwriting).
