English

In English this week, the children have been writing their time travel narratives based on the story 'The Stone Age Boy'. The whole class have put a lot of thought and effort into their pieces of writing, which is fantastic! 

Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been learning about measurement. We have been comparing, adding and subtracting amounts, as well as using out knowledge about measurement to answer a range of reasoning and challenging questions. 

Topic

In Topic this week, the children have been looking at artefacts from the Iron Age and learning about the importance behind them. We have also been learning about hillforts and the roles they played during that time period, a head of next week when they will be using their prior knowledge from topic lessons to write a visitor's guide set during the Iron Age. 

Star of the week – Emelia (Emelia has a fantastic attitude towards learning and is such a positive role model to the children in class).

Writer of the week - Rosie-Leigh (Rosie-Leigh has put a lot of effort into her time travel narrative this week).
