Autumn 1 - Week 8

English

In English this week, the children have been looking at poetry. To start, Year 3 looked at a range of different poems and we discussed what we liked or disliked about each one. We then looked at similes and the children created their own based on pictures. Towards the end of the week, the children will plan, write and perform their own poems, that they have written.

Maths

In Maths this week, we have been consolidating learning from this half-term. The children have worked really hard to remember the key skills we have been focusing on since starting back in September.

Star of the week – Renaya (Renaya has a positive attitude towards her learning and always tries her best in lessons).

Writer of the week - Joseph (Joseph has worked really hard in English, creating a lovely Autumn poem).
