Autumn 1 Week 8

This week, the children in Year 3 have been enjoying exploring poetry. Their challenge has been to write an Autumn poem using similes and they will perform them tomorrow to the class!

In History, we learnt about the fearsome Celtic warriors and created a visitor guide for an Iron Age hillfort, using all our knowledge.

In Maths, the children have been working on their assessments for what they’ve learned in the last few weeks and also in previous years. The children worked hard and were very mature about their assessments.

In BSL the children have continued working on their finger spelling. Why don’t you ask the children to spell their names.

This week, so far 20 children have taken an Accerated reader test.
Please encourage your child to read regularly at home. If your child is ready for a quiz, we are encouraging them to put their book in the quiz box in the classroom.

Home learning so far this week: 24/30 children have completed their work this week. Well done to you!
