Autumn 2 Week 2

In maths, we have been learning the names of 2D shapes. We have looked at 2D shapes within pictures and how to combine 2D shapes to create new shapes. Brody was able to spot 2D shapes within pictures of objects. For example, he spotted that the wheels on the lorry were circles. 

In Literacy, we have read The Three  Little Pigs. Children learnt the repeated refrains. For example, I will huff and I will puff. to help them retell the story. Joel used an interesting wolf voice whilst retelling the story. 

We have really enjoyed learning about Diwali - The Festival of Light.. We have created some beautiful Mehndi patterns, colourful Rangoli patterns and talked about similarities to other celebrations. Well done to all of the Butterflies for showing great enthusiasm in your learning! :)
