Autumn 2 Week 2

In Maths, we have been learning to name 2D shapes.  Alexia was able to work out that you can put two squares together to make a rectangle.  The children had a go at trying to combine different shapes to make new shapes for a pig picture as we have been reading the story of the Three Little PIgs.

In Literacy, we have had a go at using repetitive refrains,  The children were particularly good at pretending to be the  Wolf shouting, "I will huff and I will puff".

Everyone enjoyed learning about Diwali, the festival of light.  We learnt all about preparing the home  with Rangoli patterns, visiting the temple and how it differs to other special celebrations.  The children had a go at decorating a mehndi pattern.  Well done children.  You worked hard this week
