Maths

This week, the children have been learning about how to solve multiplication calculations involving multiplying TO by O using a written method. They know that we need to multiply the ones by the ones first and then multiply the tens by the ones before adding the two answers together.

English

During this week, the children have been learning lots of different skills that will support them with writing their Myths next week. They have focused on different types of sentences, fronted adverbials and punctuation for speech. Phoenix used a wide range of fronted adverbials within his sentences and punctuated these correctly with a comma.  

Other Areas

On Wednesday, the children enjoyed another session with the Sports Coach developing their archery skills. On Thursday, the children enjoyed coming to school in their pyjamas and completed a range of activities to show their support for Children in Need.  

Achievements

Star of the week – Ravin (For identifying whether a worded problem involved addition or subtraction and then choosing and using a suitable method to calculate the answer)

Star writer – Ruby (For independently thinking of fabulous sentences which were packed with all of the key skills that we have been learning about)
