English

In English this week, the children have been looking at tenses. They have been writing sentences, about the human skeleton, using the past, present and future tense. The children have then had some time to research the human body and create some notes to use, ready to start their fact files next week.

Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been working incredibly hard on using the column method for addition and subtraction. They have been learning how to ‘carry’ and ‘exchange’, when using this method to solve calculations.

Topic

In Topic this week, the children have carried out an investigation on fatty foods. They made predictions about which food they thought would contain the most amount of fat. They then followed the method to carry out the investigation and finally recorded and concluded their results.
