Autumn 2 Week 3

In Maths, we have been learning about repeating patterns. We used our bodies, made repeating pattern necklaces and corrected some mistakes in gingerbread men patterns. Maya confidently continued a pattern and created her own patterns in her play. 

In Literacy, we have been reading 'The Gingerbread Man' The children have enjoyed learning the story through using a story map and retelling the story using interesting voices! Olivia has really enjoyed singing 'Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man'

In our writing, we wrote a gingerbread man recipe and used this to make our own gingerbread men. We decorated these using a choice of toppings and then ate them. They were delicious! 

In Forest School, we went Winter bird watching. We saw Pigeons, Blackbirds and even spotted a Blue Tit! :)
