Autumn 2 Week 3

This week we have been learning about repeating pattern in Maths.  We explored pattern in number, colour, shape and everyday objects.  The children even used their bodies to create patterns and corrected some of Mrs Skelton's special gingerbread patterns on the interactive whiteboard.  Simeon had a go at creating his own pattern using our building resources in the garden. How creative!

In English this week we have been reading 'The Gingerbread Man'.  The children have had fun story mapping the book and bringing the characters to life.  Everyone joined in with repeated refrains such as "Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man". 

In our writing we had a go at making a gingerbread man recipe.  The Bears then made and decorated their own gingerbread men.  What a treat!
