Maths 

In Maths, the children have been building on their knowledge of percentages (from last week's lessons) and applying those skills to convert percentages into fractions and decimals. 

English 

In English this week, the children have been learning about features of a balanced argument. They have been looking at the structure and grammatical features, which should be included to write a balanced argument. The children have also taken part in a class debate: discussing the question, "Should slavery be abolished?". The children used prior learning (from our topic 'Maafa') to argue points for and against the abolition of slavery.
