Autumn 2, Week 4

Take a look at what Talented T-Rex class have been learning this week…

In English this week, we started to look at the story ‘Super Duper You’ by Sophy Henn. In the story, all of the unique things that make the girl super are celebrated. We started to think about what makes us super, discussing our families, pets, hobbies and holidays. We will be writing our own version of the story called ‘Super Duper Me’!

This week in Phonics, we have continued our Phase 5 learning. We have learnt ‘oe’ for toe, ‘au’ for launch and ‘ey’ for monkey. Emilia and Indie did a great job segmenting and blending the words.

We enjoyed our BSL lesson on Monday where we learnt signs for different places. We practised signing ‘chemist’, ‘supermarket’, ‘bakery’ and lots more.

Well done to Jack for Star of the Week! You have worked hard on our addition and subtraction learning, counting your jumps forwards and backwards carefully.

Well done to Mirko for Star Writer! You have written some lovely, clear sentences this week.
