Autumn 2 - week 5

This week the children in Clever Koalas class have been keeping busy.

English

The children have been learning about figurative language ready to write a setting description for the book "The Sea of Tranquility".  The Clever Koalas have used similes, expanded noun phrases and personification to help them begin to write descriptively.

Maths 

In maths this week the children have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes, they have enjoyed creating their own 3D shapes from nets.

Art

This week the children have made Taotie models from clay, ready to display at our parents afternoon.

This week's star of the week -  Hollie - Hollie has worked hard on building her knowledge of 3D shapes and their nets.

This week's writer of the week - Zoe - Zoe has started to write a beautiful description based on the book Sea of Tranquility.
