Autumn 2 - Week 6

This week the excited Koalas have been very busy, not only have they been working hard in all the usual subjects but they have also been busy making candy cane reindeer for our christmas fayre!

English

This week the children have started to research and learn about climate change.  We have listened to Greta Thunberg and considered her opinions around climate change and are now preparing to write a letter to the priminister to persuade him to help with the current situation we face.

Maths 

This week the Koalas have enjoyed using Bar charts and Timetables to find different information and to record some of their own statistics.

Art 

As well as creating the popular candy cane reindeer for the fayre, the children have been learning about tints, tones and shades.  They are currently producing their own landscape art to show at the parent open afternoon on Friday - please come and join us to celebrate their work.
