Autumn 2 Week 6

In Maths, Reception have been learning about the weight of an object. We weighed a variety of objects using the balancing scales and noticed that if the object was heavier, the bucket went down and if it was lighter the bucket went up. Eliza noticed this was like being on a see-saw! We then became human balancing scales. The children had an object in each hand and moved their arms to show which side was the heaviest and which was the lightest. 

In Literacy, the children have enjoyed reading 'The Jolly Christmas Postman'. We noticed that he delivered a letter to different story characters. The Butterflies listened carefully to the clues to help us work out who this was. We then wrote our own letter to Santa to tell him what we wanted for Christmas. Eddie used his phonic knowledge to write a a super letter. 

EYFS staff enjoyed seeing so many of you at the Christmas Fair. Thank you for your support with this :)
