Autumn 2 Week 6
Date: 12th Dec 2024 @ 2:23pm
This week, the children in Year 3 have been busy writing their persuasive letters to Mrs Ratcliff about improving school dinners. They have applied all their learning, including using rhetorical questions and interesting sentence starters.
In Maths, the children have been learning about telling the time. Please keep asking your child to read analogue clocks when at home or out and about to keep practising this skill.
In Geography, the children used an Atlas to complete tasks, including locating different countries, learning about climate zones and they discussed how we can try and reduce our carbon footprints.
In BSL, the children have completed an assessment on counting, time and money.
In PSHE the children have been learning about creating a meal, the children talked about whether it was healthy or not.
This week, so far 25 children have taken an Accelerated reader test. Please encourage your child to read regularly at home. If your child is ready for a quiz, we are encouraging them to put their book in the quiz box in the classroom.
Home learning so far this week: 22/30 children have completed their work this week. Well done to you, we are nearly at 100%!
Please help your child access their home learning challenges on Purple Mash each week.
