Autumn 2 Week 6

We've had a busy week with both Year 3 and Year 5 classes having assessments in their BSL lesson.  Both classes have been learning to sign numbers in different situations.  Year 3 have learnt to count, sign o'clock times and their ages, while Year 5 have developed their previous learning by adding half past. quarter past and quarter to times.  Both classes are trying hard to remember to sign their ages from their nose and times in their normal signing spaces.  They have answered questions about my video, checking their receptive skills and also recorded themselves signing.   Keep up the hard work!

Last week, some members of our lunchtime Deaf Club went to Derby Theatre to perform in the annual Christmas Derby Sing and Sign event.  They were fantastic signing 'Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer' on stage to a packed theatre.  We all had a great evening and enjoyed watching the other schools and performers.  Well done everyone!!
