Maths

In Maths this week, the year 6 children have been learning how identify different types of angles and find missing angles within shapes. At the beginning of the week, we learnt how to identify vertically opposite angles. Don't forget, if an angle is vertically opposite of another angles, they have same value. The children then applied this learning into locating missing angles in shapes. The children learnt how angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees and angles in a quadrilateral equal 360 degrees. 

English

In English this week, the children have wrote their independent balanced arguments based on 'Should Cameron have a pig's heart?', inspired by our text Pig Heart Boy. Check back in the blog next week to see their fantastic examples of this writing.
