Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been learning how to classify 2D and 3D shapes. The children indenitified the following properties: face, vertices, lines of symmetry, parallel lines. At the end of the week, we looked at how 3D shapes are made up of a network (net) of 2D shapes. The children used shape nets to make their own 3D shapes. 

English

In English this week, we have been learning about the features needed in persuasive letter writing. The children have learnt how to use emotive language, cause and effect conjunctions and modal verbs.
