Bears Autumn 1, Week 4

Topic

As part of our 'Let's Explore' topic went on a walk around the school building and grounds. Inside, we met Mrs Ratcliff in her office and we went to see Mrs McDonald at reception. Outside, we went to see the playgrounds and the trim trail. 

Write Dance 

In Write Dance this week, we learnt the 'Krongelidong' dance. We practised weaving in and out of the carpet spots to the music. Then, we transfered these movements onto paper to create different patterns and swirls. 

Global School Day

On Tuesday, we enjoyed celebrating Global School Day. We attended our first assembly were we learned a song about being proud of where we have come from. We listened to the story 'Coming to England' by Floella Benjamin to learn about her journey to England from Trinidad and Tobago. We finished the day with a talk from a special visitor, who came to tell us about her and her families history.
