Bears Autumn 2, Week 4

English 

This week, we read the story ‘Harry and the Robots’. We enjoyed looking at the different robots created in the story. We talked about robots needing power to work and thought about different jobs that robots can do.      

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning to find one less. We created a bus and at each bus stop, one person got off. We said ‘one less’ and counted how many were left on the bus. Then, we applied our learning by drawing spots on whiteboards to represent a given number and rubbing one off to find one less. Arham was really confident with this learning! 

Topic

In PE, we watched a video showing people dancing like robots and tried to copy their moves. We tried hard to isolate parts of our bodies to represent how robots move.

Star of the week – Finn! You have been so creative in the craft area this week, the robots you made with junk modelling were fantastic!
