Maths
This week in Maths, we are learning about number bonds to 5. We practiced partitioning the number 5 using cubes and counted the two parts we had made. Well done to Jaxxon and Finn for quickly recognising the different number bonds :)
English
We are reading the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We talked about how this is a traditional tale and practiced joining in with the repeated refrains. Then, we wrote about what items could go in the basket Little Red Riding Hood takes to Grandma. Well done to Theo for trying so hard to apply his phonics to his independent writing :)
Topic
In Topic, we learned the nursery rhyme ‘Horsey Horsey’. Then, we watched a video of horses show jumping and re-created this in our PE lesson. We had lots of fun jumping over different equipment, pretending to be the show jumping horses.
