Bears Spring 2, Week 5

Take a look at the Brilliant Bears' learning this week...

 

In Maths, we are learning to make marks to represent things we have counted. To find what the most and least popular hair colour is in our class, we drew a smiley face on the chart and counted the different totals. We then found out which was our favourite and least favourite colour by completing a tally. Well done to Alice for remembering that for the fifth tally mark, we cross on the tally. 

 

In Literacy, we read facts about farm animals. We talked about facts that we already knew, and then used the text to learn more interesting facts.  For our writing task, we wrote about how our caterpillars have now changed into chrysalises. Well done to Joshua for trying so hard to use his phonics to write some very tricky words! :) 

 

We have been learning about different farm animals and we matched the mummy animal to its baby. We talked about the different names that the baby animals had. We found it funny that a baby goat is called a ‘kid’ just like us!
