Brilliant Bears Summer 2 Week 3
Date: 20th Jun 2024 @ 9:06am
In Literacy, Reception have been reading a book called ‘Clean Up’. The book discusses the devastating impact that litter has on are oceans and beaches. The children also spoke about the animals who live in the sea and how sometimes plastics can get caught on the animals. Metehan told me that "he would pick up his litter and take it home". Well done Metehan, it is so nice to hear that you would take care when out and about and put your litter in the bin.
In Maths, the children have been learning to add groups of numbers up to 20. We started the week by looking at some picture addition. Following this we then looked at counting on using the number line. By the end of the week we were looking at some challenging number sentences and completing them independently.
Reception have really enjoyed learning about their latest topic ‘Big Wide World’ and have created some beautiful hand bunting (in different nation flags) this week. This has decorated our room nicely.
Thanks to everybody who attended the Summer Fair. It was a great success and a lovely opportunity to see the school community having a great time together.
