Brilliant Bears Summer 2 Week 6

In Literacy this week we have been reading  the story “The Crocodile Who Was Afraid of Water.”   The children explored every nook and cranny of this discussing characters, settings, and plot twists. The Bears then used these comprehension skills to write answers to questions about the book.

 

In Maths, we started the week by comparing groups of objects—counting apples, blocks, and even toy dinosaurs. As the week unfolded, we started to compare numbers using the number line.  Jack told me “if numbers have two digits in them they are further down the number line”.  What a clever boy!

 

The children have been working hard on their sports day races.  Hopefully we can show you these races.  Fingers crossed for some dry weather soon!
