Busy Bees Summer 1 Week 6

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees Class have been looking at perimeter and area. At the start of the week, we looked at how to calculate perimeter by first finding the lengths of any missing sides and then adding the measurements together. Later in the week, we looked at how to calculate area by counting squares.

English
In English this week, Bees Class have been continuing our work on adventure narratives. We have written our stories up this week and published them on Thursday.

Other Subjects
This week in Topic we have been learning all about the Indus Valley. Earlier in the week we learned all about the different buildings in the Indus Valley and what their cities looked like. Later in the week, we found out that Historians know about what people in the Indus Valley wore because of statues and carved seals. We designed our own beads in the style of ones from the Indus Valley.

Our Star Writer of the week this week is Rykie-Jai!

Our Star of the Week is Finley! For an amazing adventure narrative about the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamun.
