Busy Bees Summer 2 Week 3

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees Class have been working on telling time to the nearest minute. Later in the week, we also looked at converting between analogue time and digital time. Bees class found this tricky at first but soon understood what to do.  

English
In English this week, Bees Class have continued learning all about Biographies. We have been planning and writing our Biographies all week, ready to publish on Monday. Bees have done a super job editing these and checking they have all the features.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week, we started our brand-new topic ‘Tomb builders’ First we looked at simple machine and the mechanisms they used. Then, we talked about how it was possible for the Ancient Egyptians to build the pyramids and we wondered if they used simple machine. At the end of the week, we designed and made our very own prototype machine that would help the Ancient Egyptians to build the pyramids, using pulleys, wheels and axels, levers and screws.
