Busy Bees- Summer 2 Week 5

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees Class have been working really hard to complete assessments and show what they have learned so far in year 4. Later on in the week, we looked at decimal numbers and comparing these using place value grids.

English
In English this week, Bees Class have continued learning all about Persuasive letters. In groups, we practicsed using persuassive language and tried to persaude the teachers than we knew the most about Ancient Egypt, and then presented to the class. Later on in the week we revisited surbornite clauses and how to use these in our writing.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week, we continued our learning about ‘Statues, Statuettes and Figurines’.  First we researched Ancient Sumerian sculptures, then we designed our own sculptures. Towards the end of the week, we made our own statuettes using clay and clay tools. Next week we will paint these.
