Butterflies Autumn 1 Week 5

Date: 3rd Oct 2024 @ 8:19am

Take a look at the Brilliant Butterflies' learning this week...

Maths

In Maths this week, we have been learning to count to 10. We used a variety of silly voices to make this fun! We moved onto to touch counting objects up to 10. George was very good at counting the objects accurately and being able to find the matching number - Well done George :)

English

In English this week, the children have been learning the nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty' We picked out five key words and learnt the meaning of these words. We then sang the nursery rhyme together and noticed the key words as we were singing it. We talked about the order of the nursery rhyme, and worked together as a class to sequence the nursery from begionning to end. Well done to Brooklyn for remebering the meaning of the key words and sharing this with the class :)

Topic

This week, we created a handprint bear from the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' The children practised their scissor skills to carefully cut the bear's head out, before attaching it to the handprint body.
