Date: 10th Oct 2024 @ 8:57am

Take a look at the Brilliant Butterflies' learning this week...

Maths

In Maths this week, we have continued with our counting. We have been counting objects that can't be moved and then found the correct number on the numberline. We counted the amount of windows in the classroom, children's drawers and different arrangements of spiders and sunshines on the whiteboard. Well done to Orlagh for counting the objects accurately and finding the correct number :)

English

In English this week, the children have been learning the nursery rhyme 'Incy Wincy Spider' We picked out five key words and learnt the meaning of these words. We then sang the nursery rhyme together and noticed the key words as we were singing it. We talked about rhyming words and what these are. We played a rhyming game and then worked together as a class to spot the rhyming words in the nursery rhyme.  . Well done to Harriet for being able to spot the rhyming words.

Topic

This week, we looked a a variety of different homes. We talked about our own home and what they look like. We thought about the colour of our door, how many rooms we what colour our home is. We then had a go at drawing our home.
