Butterflies Spring 2 Week 5

Maths

In Maths, we are learning to make marks to represent things we have counted. To find what the most and least popular hair colour is in our class, we drew a smiley face on the chart and counted the different totals. Blond hair was the most popular and red hair was the least popular. We then found out which was our favourite and least favourite colour by completing a tally. Well done to Jessica for being able to spot which was the least and most popular. 

English

In Literacy, we read facts about farm animals. We talked about facts that we already knew, and then used the text to learn more interesting facts.  For our writing task, we wrote about how our caterpillars have now changed into chrysalises.  Well done to Amelia for trying so hard to use her phonics to write some very tricky words! :) 

Topic 

We have butterflies! We are very excited to release these into our Forest School area where they will be happy in the wild.
