Cheetah Class Spring 1 Week 3
Date: 24th Jan 2025 @ 2:26pm
Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...
In English, we have written our published piece all about Buckingham Palace. We have used some fantastic describing words in our sentences and joined our sentences together using ‘and’. We also wrote exclamation sentences and used our knowledge of other landmarks to write a comparison sentence. Well done to Gracie-Mae for writing some beautiful sentences.
In maths we have been focusing on repeated addition, making arrays and grouping numbers. We have been learning to make our groups equal and have practised putting counters into groups of 2’s, 3’s, 4’s and 5’s! Well done to Logan W who correctly identified that we could also group 12 counters into 2 groups of 6!
In our topic lessons this week we have been learning about the ‘Great Fire of London’. We learnt how the fire started and how long it lasted for. We also learnt that St Paul’s Cathedral burnt down, and many people left the city. We also learnt to sing the nursery rhyme ‘London’s Burning’.
