Cheetah Class Spring 1 Week 4

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we have been learning about the features of instructions. We have learnt that it is important to put our instructions in order. We have also learnt how time words such as: first, next, then and finally help to sequence our instructions.

In maths we have been focusing on halving objects and numbers. We have learnt that half means 1 equal part of two and have been using sharing circles to help us solve halving numbers. We looked at how we can halve shapes and found that certain shapes have many different ways that you can halve them. Well done to Jakob for independently halving his shapes.

Star of the Week – Well done to Blake who has been trying really hard in his learning. He worked really well in his maths and independently completed his work.

Star Writer – Well done to Omar who came up with a great comparison sentence in his published piece and used some fantastic exclamation sentences in his work.
