Cheetah Class Spring 2 Week 2

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In maths, we have been learning different strategies to solve the operations of addition and subtraction. We have looked at adding and subtracting on a number line and then we looked at using rulers as number lines to help us. We have also looked at solving missing number problems using the part part whole model. We drew counters to represent the whole number and crossed out the parts to find the missing numbers. Well done to Callie who did an excellent job at finding the missing number problem.

In topic, we have been learning about the different types of weather. We have looked at the different types of precipitation (snow, hail and rain), the temperature (cold, warm and hot), how strong the wind was and recorded this in a table using the Beaufort scale. The children then composed their own weather report using iPads.
