Cheetah Class Spring Term 1 Week 2

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we have been learning about exclamation sentences. We have been looking at comparing different London landmarks and have been using exclamation marks using ‘how’ and ‘what’ sentences.

In maths we have been focusing on addition and subtraction number problems. We have been learning to add single digit and two-digit numbers. We have also been learning to subtract a single digit number from a two-digit number. We have looked at the different strategies to help us with our addition and subtraction questions and have used these in our work. We have used number lines, hundred squares and even drawed counters to help us with our subtraction calculations. Well done to Melissa who worked really hard on her missing number problems.

In our topic lessons this week we have been comparing the weather in the morning and in the afternoon and recorded our results in a table. This has helped us to understand how the weather can change daily and how the different seasons affect the weather in the UK.

Star of the Week – Well done to Callie who has been trying really hard in her phonics lessons.

Star Writer – Well done to Maya who has worked really hard on her handwriting and has remembered how to structure her sentences correctly to include capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.
