Cheetah Class Summer 1 Week 1

Date: 25th Apr 2025 @ 3:28pm

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we’ve been focusing on writing instructions. We have been learning how to use bossy verbs, adjectives, and the conjunction ‘and’ to make their instructions clear and interesting. We have written instructions on how to make a strawberry milkshake. We have had lots of lovely describing words to describe the glass including ‘shiny’ and ‘magnificent’. Well done to Melissa for bringing her senses into her writing by describing the strawberries as sweet.

In maths, we have been practising subtraction by applying our number bond knowledge. We’ve particularly focused on using number bonds to 10 to help us subtract from two-digit numbers more confidently.

In our topic lessons, we have been exploring our new mini project: Plants. We’ve been learning to identify different parts of a plant, and we've also been observing how plants change with the seasons. We explored the school grounds looking for wild flowers. We identified – forget-me-nots, daisies, daffodils and dandelions.

Star Writer – Jack for showing excellent resilience in his writing.

Class attendance – 92.67%
