Clever Koalas - Autumn 1 - Week 2

A huge congratulations to Joseph for being awarded Star of the Week this week.  Joseph has settled brilliantly into the Koalas, he is sharing his ideas and making friends. Well done on being a fantastic new member of our class!

Star Writer this week is Steven,  he has produced an excellent poster in Topic this week - see it below!! The poster was created during a Topic lesson this week, the children were learning about daily life in the Shang Dynasty and had to choose an area to focus on and research to create their own information poster. Well done Steven. 

In English this week everyone has been working hard on writing the draft of their biography.  We have even recapping the importance of chronological order and changing words to make the text more interesting and formal for their reader.  They are looking fantastic so far and we can't wait to see them written up in best next week.

We continued our dance unit in PE this week and added more Bollywood moves to our dances, these are really looking great and everyone is embracing the new movements we learning together.

BSL lessons started this week, the children enjoyed revisiting deaf awareness with Mrs Holt and are looking forward to learning more BSL over the year.

Everyone is excited about our Shang Dynasty workshop tomorrow - we will share how it went next week.
