Marvellous Meerkats - Aut 1 - Week 2

The Marvellous Meerkats have had a wonderful start to Year 6.  The children have all settled really well into their new classroom.

This week the Meerkats have been revising some of the addition, rounding and missing number skills they have prviously been taught.

In Reading and English, we have been focussing on the book Freedom by Catherine Johnson.  The children have started to write Diary Entries from the view of the main character in the book, Nathaniel.

Our first topic is Maafa - this topic introduces the children to the African Slave Trade.  The children are already absorbed and ready to learn more about the historical events.
