Marvellous Meerkats week 5

This week the Marvellous Meerkats have performed their Year 6 class assembly - thank you so much to everyone who attended.  The children read their parts beautifully - I am a very proud teacher.

In Maths this week we have been learning about shape.  We have looked at parallelograms, areas of a triangle, and other aspects of shape. 

In English the children have continued to write non-chronological reports using their knowledge of the slave trade - I can't wait to see their final pieces.

The children have been working on a timeline of the events of the slave trade in History.
