Meerkats Autumn 2 w6

This week the Meerkats have been busy learning about angles in maths.  The children have revised some of the facts learnt in Y5 and progressed onto new ones for Y6.  Check if your child knows; how many degrees on a straight line, how many degrees in a triangle and how many degrees in a quadrilateral?

Our English work this week has consisted of, writing a balanced argument based on the book Pig Heart Boy.  The children have enjoyed putting together their for and against arguments, as to whether the pig heart should be used in the boy.

In Art this week, the children have been learning about tints, tones and shades and will be using their knowledge to paint their own landscape piece.
