Welcome back from half term everyone! This week we started our new english topic around myths. The children had fun reading lots of different myths and thinking about the key features of a myth. In science this week we started an investigation looking at how water and nutrients travel through plants. We learnt that celery has vessels that suck up the water from the ground. See our pictures below. In Spanish this week, we have been learning how to say I like and I don't like fruits in Spanish. Why not ask us what our favourite fruits are? In whole class reading we have been learning about Romulus and Remus. The brothers were good friends to start with but by the end of the story the brothers were enemies. They both wanted power. We had a visiting teacher for a lesson this week and we enjoyed reading a new book called the Great Paper Caper. We also welcomed two new members to our Monkeys class. A big welcome to Harmony and Jonah!
