Monkeys Summer 2 week 2

Date: 13th Jun 2024 @ 8:17am

We've been scientists this week during our science day. The children thought about time and how we can use nature to tell time. They then spent time making sundials. We tested these outside to see if we could get an accurate shadow to tell the time. We were all really surprised when they really did work! We have also been busy practising for our assembly next Wednesday - we can't wait to see you all on Wednesday morning to share what we have learnt with you. Maths this week has focused on fractions. We have gotten really great at adding and taking away fractions. We have also worked hard on understanding how to find equivalent fractions. We really enjoyed PSHE this week. We listened to the story of the "Invisible String". The children loved the message in this book about feeling joined invisibly to the ones we love. They then went on to create paper chains of people and thought about who they had a connection with.

Class assembly - 9.00am Wednesday19th June - you are invited to join us!
