Summer is here at last! The children have made the most of the sunshine this week as we have explored shadows. We know how they are formed and that they seem to move as the Earth rotates through the day. Ask us about what actually makes the shadows, we'd love to tell you. We had visitors in our music lesson this week. We impressed them with our music vocabulary and our instrumental playing. In maths, we learnt about Roman Numerals. We can read a clock using Roman Numerals and we learnt about the take away and add rule. We finished writing our myths this week. We are being authors now, publishing our finished work. We can't wait to share some of them with you. Finally, we investigated how to change the size of shadows. Look at our findings on our photograph. We are also getting ready for our trip next Wednesday, July 3rd. We have been thinking about what we need to take with us to keep us safe in the sunshine. The children can tell you that they need to bring a hat, a waterbottle and will need some suncream. They also remembered that they will need their packed lunch on the day.
