Perfect Penguins- Autumn 1 Week 7

Date: 21st Oct 2024 @ 5:31pm

Maths
On Monday in Maths, we learned that angles around a point add up to 360 degrees, and used this to work out what the missing angles would be. For the rest of the week, we have reviewed how to measure and calculate the perimeter of a shape, building on our learning from Year 4.

English
In English this week, we have finished our own versions of the ‘Willow pattern Story’. After we edited them on Tuesday, we started to write them up onto publishing paper.

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, we have moved on Zhou Dynasty, and began to look at the legacies of the Qin Dynasty. We learned that the Qin Dynasty was responsible for the creation of both the Terracotta Warriors and the Great Wall of China. We researched both of these in groups, and had a discussion about what the greatest legacy of the Qin Dynasty was.
