Maths
This week in Maths, we have recapped our learning about area. On Monday, we learned the formula Area= Length x Width, and used this to work out the area of regular rectilinear shapes. After find the area of compound shapes on Tuesday, we moved to finding the area of irregular shapes which was a little tricky. At the end of the week, we used our subtraction skills to subtract decimals.

English
In English this week, we have looked at performances of poetry and what makes a good performance. On Tuesday, we made a success criteria for our performances, by looking at really good performances- our favourite was Michael Rosen’s Chocolate Cake! At the end of the week, we rehearsed performances of Dragon poems, ready to perform these.

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, we have put together all our learning from the past two weeks, and started to plan our podcasts about life after the Shang Dynasty. We looked at a good podcast and started to write our own scripts.
