Perfect Penguins- Autumn 2 Week 1

Maths
This week in Maths, we have looked at multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 100, with calculations involving decimal numbers. Later on in the week, we have been looking at short multiplication and improving our skills with this.

English
In English this week, we have started our unit on non-chronological reports. On Tuesday, we received a letter from Tim Peake asking us to write a non-chronological report about space. For the rest of the week, we have working on some of the features we will need in our reports, including subordinate clauses and parenthesis.  

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, we have started our new topic called Earth and Space. On Tuesday we named all of the planets and looked at how far away they are from the sun. We even learned a catchy song all about the planets.

In PE this week, we have started our gymnastics unit. We practiced the bunny hop and looked at how this would build up to become a cartwheel.
